Think you're good at balancing? Try your hand at Wheelie Bike and try to keep your bike balanced without tipping over and going as far as possible.

Wheelie Bike Gameplay

The goal of Wheelie Bike is to perform and maintain a wheelie for as long as possible without letting the front wheel touch the ground or falling off. You will need to have good balance and quick reflexes to keep the bike moving forward without flipping over. The gameplay is quite simple, but in reality, controlling and controlling the speed of the bike well is not easy.

Controls

On a browser (PC)

  • Left mouse / Spacebar: Press and hold to raise the front wheel.
  • Release the button to lower the front wheel.

On phone

  • Touch and hold the screen: To raise the front wheel.
  • Release the wheel.

Note that if you hold it too long, the bike will tip over and fall. If you release it too soon, the front wheel will hit the ground, and it's game over.

Physics in Wheelie Bike

Gravity

The first mechanism that the game wants to mention is gravity, it will always pull the bike and the character down. When the front wheel is lifted, gravity will pull the whole body of the bike back. If not adjusted well, gravity will cause the bike to tilt back and fall. The player must constantly balance the lifting force and gravity; too weak and the front wheel will touch the ground, too strong and the bike will flip.

Rotating moment

When holding down the button (or touching the screen), a force is applied to the rear wheel, creating a rotating moment that lifts the front wheel. The body of the bike will rotate around the rear wheel, just like in reality when you perform a wheelie. This rotating force depends on:

The time you hold the button.

The weight of the bike and the character.

The current angle of the body of the bike.

Inertia

Once the bike has tilted, it will continue to tilt in that direction if there is no counterforce. Inertia makes it difficult to stabilize the car immediately, so players need to adjust slowly, not holding the button for too long. This makes the wheelie feel "smooth" but difficult to control, creating the main challenge of the game.
