Are you confident in becoming the map ruler in Territorial.io? In this game, your mission is to expand your territory so that it becomes stronger and stronger.
In Territorial.io, you start with a small territory and a certain number of troops. The main goal of each round is to dominate the entire map by strengthening and expanding your territory while eliminating your opponents. This is the core mechanic that allows you to expand or attack.
To expand, you select a territory of yours and send troops to empty spaces or to your opponent's territory. Your troops will move and take over that territory. You can attack other players' territories. If your troops are larger than your opponent's defenses, you will take over that space. Conversely, you need to make sure you have enough troops to protect your borders from surprise attacks.
If you don't defend well, you will lose land, lose troops, and weaken your economy, leading to defeat. Land in the center of the map, near resource points, or places that can be easily attacked and defended from multiple directions, all need to be tightly protected. A strong defense can wear down the opponent's army, forcing them to give up their intention to attack or significantly weaken them for future attacks. When the opponent has concentrated their efforts and been stopped, they will become weak in other areas, allowing you to launch surprise counterattacks.
Your troops are generated based on two main mechanisms:
Interest: Every 0.5 seconds (1 tick), the number of troops you have will increase by a certain percentage of that number. This is the main source of troop growth, especially in the early game when the territory is small. This interest rate usually decreases when your troop growth is too large compared to the territory (about 100 troops/pixel of land).
Territory income: Every 5 seconds (1 cycle), you will receive additional troops based on the number of land cells (pixels) you control. This is an important source of troop growth when you have expanded a territory significantly.
